If you can’t make it…

From the intense joy and celebration of the past seven days of Sukkot we are raised yet higher this evening to the lofty spiritual heights of the Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah holiday (October 9-11).

Typically on Simchat Torah we express our unbridled joy over our relationship with G‑d by dancing communally and uninhibitedly with ever-intensifying intent, serenading G‑d and circling with His Torah scrolls ‘round and ‘round the sanctuary. This year, however, while some of us might replicate parts of that (amid careful social distancing regulations), most of us will be celebrating in our homes.

However, even while physically distanced from our Torahs and our communities, we will be spiritually closer than ever before!

Our Simchat Torah this year is rife with unprecedented holy energy to help us supersede the limitations of our physical reality and tap into our true selves, our complete oneness with G‑d and His Torah, and with one another.

Let’s invite G‑d directly into our personal space and tap into His sublime Simchat Torah energy by celebrating His Torah in our homes, dancing and singing alone (and/or with family) with unbridled joy.
