Make Passover Possible.

You can be the hero this Passover, by giving to MiYaD’s Passover Food program.

"In every generation, one must see themselves as if they personally left Egypt."

As we approach Passover, these timeless words from our Haggadah remind us that the journey from slavery to freedom isn't just ancient history—it's happening right now, in our community, through the work of our Chabad House.

Our Modern-Day Exodus

Last year, thanks to your generous support, we created a modern-day exodus for our growing community:

  • 70 families and singles participated in our community Seders & Moshiach Feast

  • 35 elderly neighbors who didn't have to celebrate alone

  • 150 families who received Passover food packages

  • Dozens of children who experienced the joy of our Passover programs

  • Countless individuals who connected or reconnected with their heritage

But this year, the need has grown significantly. More families are seeking connection. More households are struggling with rising costs, and a thirst for spiritual inspiration. More souls are hungry—both for matzah and for meaning.

MAKE SOMEONE'S PASSOVER MEANINGFUL

From Constraint to Abundance

The word "Mitzrayim" (Egypt) literally means "constraints." As we celebrate our ancestors' liberation from physical bondage, we are called to free ourselves and others from whatever constraints hold us back today.

Your tzedakah is the modern miracle that breaks these chains.

Be Part of Our Passover Miracle

This Passover, I'm asking you to take three powerful steps:

1. Make a Meaningful Gift Today

  • $3,600 sponsors our outreach activities community-wide

  • $1,800 provides Passover food packages for 18 families in need

  • $1,000 supports our Passover children's program for 25 children

  • $540 enables us to reach out to 5 unaffiliated Jewish families

  • $360 helps us provide Passover seder needs for 10 elderly community members

  • $180 sends Shmurah Matzah to 6 families who cannot afford it

  • Any amount helps ensure no one is turned away

    MAKE YOUR GIFT

2. Multiply Your Impact

  • Double your gift by checking if your employer offers matching donations

  • Dedicate your gift in honor or memory of a loved one

  • Make it monthly to provide sustainable support throughout the year

3. Share the Light

  • Forward this email to three friends who might join our cause

  • Share your Passover story with us on social media and how Chabad has touched your life

  • Volunteer to help deliver Passover packages or Shmura Matzoh boxes

The Time Is Now

The Lubavitcher Rebbe taught that giving tzedakah before holidays is especially powerful. Your pre-Passover donation doesn't just provide practical assistance—it creates spiritual merit that carries through the holiday and beyond.

The deadline for ensuring we can serve everyone is 4/11/25– Passover is just 8 days away.

As you prepare to recite "Let all who are hungry come and eat" at your own Seder, please remember that your gift today makes these words a reality in our community.

DONATE NOW FOR PASSOVER

With gratitude and blessings for a kosher and joyous Passover,

Freedom's Meaning: The Passover Message

The Exodus from Egypt forms the foundation of Torah, revealing that true freedom carries responsibility. Beyond physical liberation, it rejects oppression and demands ethical behavior, challenging us.

Freedom is primarily spiritual, not physical. Even rulers can be slaves within their souls, while the truly free person maintains authentic selfhood even under constraint. Pesach invites us to examine where we might be enslaved internally by unhealthy attachments or conformity, encouraging us to reclaim our genuine "I" in relationship with the divine.

Our actions toward others carry profound moral weight. Jewish history teaches us that violations of human dignity reverberate across generations. Pesach challenges us to honor the divine image in every person rather than valuing material gain above human worth.

The bond between G-d and people transcends circumstances, remaining unbroken even in apparent estrangement. Liberation comes from reconnecting with our authentic selves and G-d, who knows "the secrets of the heart." Pesach invites everyone to experience their own exodus—breaking free from whatever confines us and realigning our lives with Sacred purpose.

The freedom journey that begins with Pesach—from physical liberation to spiritual authenticity—ultimately points to the complete redemption through Moshiach. By embracing true freedom in our own lives and deepening our relationship with G-d —we actively participate in perfecting the world and hastening ultimate freedom.

Just as God declared "I and none other" during the Exodus as discussed in the Haggadah, so too the coming of Moshiach will reveal this Divine unity, completely transforming the world, and all people recognizing their Divine essence and living in harmony with Torah's deepest truths. The personal exodus we experience today is both a taste of and preparation for this ultimate redemption, which we pray will come speedily in our days!

Blessings to you and yours for a Kosher and happy Passover,

Rabbi Chanan & Aliza Krivisky
